Miss Roseberry grew up near downtown Hattiesburg and always had a love for the preservation of downtown and historic Hattiesburg. She was also a strong supporter of William Carey University in Hattiesburg.

A lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, she taught a children's Sunday school class for many years, sang in both the adult choir and the Visionaires senior adult choir and was involved in the Homebound Ministry. She was an active volunteer for the First Baptist library and the First Baptist Woman's Missionary Union. At the time of her death she was also a member of the Truth Sunday school class.

A retired teacher, she was an active volunteer for the Hattiesburg Area Historical Society and the Hattiesburg Public Library. She was also a member of the Kappa Delta Pi teacher honorary society.

Miss Roseberry graduated from Mississippi College with a degree in education and went on to get her master's degree in education from Peabody College, now known as the Vanderbilt Peabody College of Education and Human Development. She began her teaching career in the public schools in Natchez and Laurel and then in Galveston, Texas. Returning to Hattiesburg, she went on to teach upper elementary students at Jeff Davis, Thames and Camp Elementary Schools retiring in Nov. of 1985.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Pace and Earl Roseberry of Hattiesburg. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James and Marcia Roseberry of Hattiesburg; a nephew, Jim (Tracy) Roseberry of Hattiesburg; and two nieces, Rachel Roseberry Murphy and Melinda Roseberry (Bob) Gholson of Laurel.

She is also survived by three great nieces: Mary Katherine Gholson (Peter) McKelroy of Oxford; Rachel Elizabeth Gholson and Marcia Beth Murphy of Laurel ; and two great nephews: Jim Lindsey Roseberry and Reagan Caves Roseberry of Hattiesburg.

"My sister was the type of person who truly had a servant's heart," Miss Roseberry's brother, James Roseberry, said. "She did the types of things that did not bring praise or recognition while quietly contributing to the lives of others."
