Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at
Central Baptist Church for Evelyn Davis, 76, of Oak Grove, who died December 20
at Wesley Medical Center. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens. Dr.
Dean Miller and Brother Jerry George will officiate.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a
member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her
parents, C.W. and Bessie Leggett and a son, Robert Earl Leggett.
Survivors include her husband, of 60
years, Joseph W. Davis of Oak Grove; three sons, Andy (Becky)Davis of Purvis,
Mike (Sharon) Davis of Jackson and Tony (Penny) Davis of Petal; five daughters,
Sharon (Walter) Ford of Natchez, Judy (Eddie) Tarbutton of Houston, Janice Cloy
and Janet Fortenberry both of Petal and Celia (Scott) Godard of Brookhaven; 19
grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Albert Ray Leggett of
Columbia, J.W. Leggett of Orlando, Dr. Frank L. Leggett of Jackson, David
Leggett of Shreveport and Johnny Leggett of Pigeon Forge.
Visitation will be Monday from 5:30 –
8 p.m. at the church. Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg is in charge of
arrangements.
