Services will be at 1:30
p.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis for Floyd
Phillip Smith, 75, of Baxterville, who died December 24, 2009 at his home.
Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Marion County. Rev. Edward Penton
and Bro. Roger Miller will officiate.
Mr. Smith was a truck driver with T.K. Stanley for more than
40 years and a member of Macedonia Baptist church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lavern Hudson
Smith; his second wife, Hilda Gipson Smith; two brothers, W.E. Smith and Lavern
Smith; and three sisters, Donnis Yates, Lois Anderson and Coleen Lee.
Visitation will be Saturday prior to the service
beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
