Services will be at 11:30
a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Petal Church of God Spiritual Center for Jack
Brown, 83, of Petal, who died December 28 at his home. Burial will follow in
Oaklawn Cemetery.
Mr. Brown was maintenance
director at USM and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a
member of Petal Church of God Spiritual Life Center and the NRA.
He was preceded in death by
his parents James and Frances Brown and two brothers, Randolph and Harold
Brown.
Survivors include his wife,
Martha Brown of Petal; a son, Jacky Brown of Ovett; two daughters, Anita Brown
of Cleveland, Tennessee and Janet May of Fort Worth, Texas; two brothers,
Johnny Courtney and Charles Courtney both of Runnelstown; a sister, Violet
McWilliams of Runnelstown; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday
from 5-9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Petal.
