Dorothy A. Pierpoint Crawley, 82, of Lumberton, died January 13, 2010 at Forrest General Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Purvis followed by burial in Boone Cemetery. Elder James Broome will officiate. Pallbearers will be Christopher Burnett, Robert Piechocki, Eric Phillips, Nicholas Blakeman, Tony Blakeman and Tucker Logan.
Dorothy was a retired apartment complex manager, laundry mat manager and bus driver for Pascagoula Schools. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lester H. Crawley; father, Elder Tommy L. Pierpoint; mother, Emma Hartfield Pierpoint; stepmother, Lydia Whiddon Pierpoint; brother, Moran Pierpoint; and sister, Norma Faye Early.
She is survived by her three daughters, Gloria Phillips of Lumberton, Desiree Crawley and Desilee Crawley both of Lucedale; five grandchildren, Teria Burnett of Pascagoula, Eric Phillips of D’Iberville, Anettia Faurot of Moss Point, Christal Davis of Munford, Tennessee and Sandra Farmer of Lucedale; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tommie Jean Clinton of D’Iberville and Eula Dee Stuart of Gulfport; and an abundance of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-9 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Purvis.
